Well here we are. Paul and I decided that for my 40th birthday we would break out the backpacks and head to the summit of Mount Lyell in Yosemite.
Mt. Lyell is the highest point in Yosemite at 13,114 ft. It is a 13.5 mile hike to get to it but well worth the task. For more info on the mountain take a look at the link below.

It was a tough hike and for me especially the steep climbs. It's been a long time since I climbed like that! I am very happy to be doing it again now. I am planning more trips like this so keep checking the blog.
